We opened with one simple aim: to give Arrowtown the kind of place locals could truly call their own. Somewhere brunch doesn’t come with a time limit, lunch drifts happily into the afternoon, and the wine list celebrates the best of Central Otago.
Tucked into the heritage Dudley’s Cottage Precinct beside the Arrow River, Dishery is made for lingering. Drop in solo for a flat white, gather your crew for share plates and spritzes, or settle into the garden until the light turns golden.
We believe hospitality is an art form, and that every pour, plate and playlist should make you want to stay a little longer.

Meet Steve
Executive Chef Steve Sepsy brings decades of cooking to the Dishery kitchen, with a background in fine dining that includes Aosta and Little Aosta here in Arrowtown, Toast & Oak, and Ahi in Auckland.
At Dishery, his food is elevated without being precious: seasonal, generous and built around the best of Central Otago and the wider South. Think local lamb, Southland seafood and Arrowtown-grown greens, cooked with care and made for sharing.
It’s the kind of food that’s quietly impressive on the plate and even better when the table is full.

You’ll find us tucked in the Dudley’s Cottage Precinct at 4 Buckingham Street, Arrowtown just a short stroll from the village and an easy 20-minute drive from Queenstown. There’s parking out front or in the Buckingham Street Carpark, and local buses stop nearby if you’re planning to make a day of it. Just don’t blame us if you stay for “just one more” and end up with an Uber cancellation fee.
We’re open daily from 8am–3pm for brunch and lunch, then from 3–6pm for snacks and cocktails. Come early for coffee, stay late for a spritz, we won’t rush you out.

Of course, Dishery’s for everyone. We’ve got a kids’ menu for the little ones and plenty of space for high chairs, prams, and family catch-ups that run a little longer than planned.
